The Memphis Nighthawks 18U team fought off a slow start and took control in the second half of a 69-43 victory over the Christian Life Academy Eagles.
After taking a two-point lead into halftime, the Nighthawks adjusted and took control midway through the third quarter.
Wilson Vaughn led the team with 24 points, including four three-pointers. Jacob Morgan had a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Daniel Meis scored 10 points and had eight rebounds. Christopher Wheeler led the team with 14 rebounds.
The Nighthawks advance to the Round of 32 to face the winner between the Dallas Thunder and the Northwest Arkansas Hornets. Tomorrow's game will be at Baptist Bible College at 3:45 PM.
