Tayson Parker helped the Nighthawks' 18U team recover from Tuesday's disappointing loss by leading the team with 24 points in a 75-52 win over the Omaha Roadrunners.
Parker's 17 points in the first half gave the team a 38-22 lead at halftime. The Nighthawks' defense also showed improvement as it forced the Roadrunners into 18 turnovers by halftime.
Omaha attempted a comeback in the third quarter, but Wilson Vaughn hit back-to-back three-pointers to extend the Nighthawks' lead.
Daniel Meis scored 14 points and made all three of his three-point attempts. Vaughn added 10 points off the bench.
The Nighthawks advance to the semi-finals of the Boys Varsity Large Program Division 1-Bronze bracket to play the Oklahoma City Knights. The game will be at 3:45 PM at the Fieldhouse.
